Emerging Christian Scholars (ECS) is a unique student-based, academic conference designed to give aspiring scholars the opportunity to refine their craft and network with other aspiring and established scholars. It will be an annual conference open to anyone, from current undergraduate students to established professors. Even if you are not in the academic world but are interested in glorifying God with your mind, this conference is for you too! The two plenary speakers will present an academic paper, then explain their unique process for writing that specific paper.

The conference will be held on September 26, 2026. Due to a generous donor, we have the ability to publish the top student papers submitted to the conference in a new student-based academic journal.

Our desire is to partner with the local, faithful Christian churches, universities, and organizations of Southern Ontario to promote Godly scholarship. ECS provides a unique opportunity for students which other academic conferences seldom offer: the ability to present a paper, to be published, and the possibility of winning an award.
